The Lakme-Art Foundation was established in 2012. Its main goal is to promote young musical talents and actively support ideas of high cultural value.
One of the manifestations of the Foundation's first activity was the establishment and promotion of the "Lakme Opera Group". During its artistic activity, the "Lakme Opera Group" associated with young, talented artistes, perfectly educated in vocal art. They were repeatedly successfully awarded at European singing competitions, and thanks to the popularity of the "Lakme Opera Group", they took part in many musical projects and festivals performing, amongst others, in such prestigious places as Teatr Królewski and Amfiteatr on the Water in the Royal Łazienki Museum, Warsaw Chamber Opera and Dworek Gościnny in Szczawnica.
Since 2015, the Foundation has been continuing its activity by promoting highly cultural events and supporting young talented artistes through the organization of artistic projects in Warsaw. Thanks to the cooperation with the Royal Łazienki Museum, the summer concerts "Musical Meetings at the Royal Łazienki Park" were created, and in cooperation with the National Museum in Warsaw the "Sounds of Art" project - a series of monthly classical music concerts in the Main Hall of the Museum.
All the events organized by the Foundation have interesting, diversified and, at the same time, educational artistic programmes performed at the highest level. The Foundation invites the best artistes from the Polish music scene to participate in concerts, such as Monika Ledzion-Porczyńska, Marta Boberska, Edyta Piasecka, Tomasz Frycz, Sylwia Krzysiek and Krzysztof Meisinger.
Foundation concerts have met wtih enthusiastic reception from both the public and the media - reviews and reportage of events appeared on television (TVP Kultura, TVP3), radio (Polish Radio) and in the press (Newsweek).
The Lakme-Art Foundation in its objectives is supported by the Honorary Council, which includes illustrious people from the arts and business worlds. With their authority and advice, they agreed to assist in the implementation of the Foundation's educational and artistic statutory goals.
The founder and President of the Foundation is Grzegorz Bayer - soloist of the Teatr Wielki- Polish National Opera and the Musical Theater Roma in Warsaw, currently an accomplished vocal teacher. He is the President of the Foundation and its artistic director.
The Minister responsible for the Foundation's objectives is the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
